Offerings are seasonal The Flamingo Lodge Restaurant overlooking Florida Bay has an extensive selection of seafood, steak, chicken, vegetarian dishes and local specialties. The times I've eaten here the food has been exceptionally good. However, due to the summertime heat and mosquitoes, the restaurant is seasonal. It is open and fully staffed for breakfast, lunch and dinner from November to April. More limited offerings are available at lunch and dinner from May to October, when lodge guests have to be satisfied with a complimentary continental breakfast in those offseason months.
