Named for one of the local trees, the Gumbo Limbo Environmental Complex is located in Boca Raton on 20 acres in Red Reef Park on a barrier island between the Atlantic Ocean and the Intracoastal Waterway.

Turtle Walks: To view nesting loggerhead turtles, held Monday, Wednesday and Thursdays from May 25 to July 15. The program starts at 9PM and lasts until around 11:30PM. Minimum age is 8 years. Scouts look for a turtle while participants attend a class inside the center.

Tickets
for a turtle walk are $5. Call the center for details/reservations.

Turtle Hatchling Releases: Newborn turtles are released Monday through Thursdays at 8PM from June 28 to July 8. Tickets ($3) go on sale beginning June 17. No age restrictions.
