The Sea Turtle Preservation Society (STPS) is a not-for-profit organization whose volunteers are permitted by the Florida Fish & Wildlife Conservation Commission, Bureau of Protected Species Management, and U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service.

The Society's purpose is increase public awareness about marine turtles through lectures, exhibits and its turtle watches during the summer sea turtle nesting season.


Reservations for turtle walks to view nesting loggerhead turtles begin May 1 and continue as long as there are openings.

Walks are offered four or five nights a week during the months of June and July. They take place either on Melbourne Beach or Satellite Beach.
