Sebastian Inlet State Park conducts guided turtle walks to view nesting loggerhead sea turtles in June and July. The park also takes reservations for the Archie Carr NWR.

Reservations for June are taken on May 15 only. First call of the day is taken at 8 a.m. Reservations for July are taken June 15 only, beginning at 8 a.m.

Turtle watchers assemble at the McLarty Treasure Museum at 9 p.m. for orientation and a sea turtle presentation at McLarty Museum, two miles south of the Sebastian Inlet Bridge on A1A.

Scouts look for a nesting turtle during the program.

The program is conducted in almost all conditions, including rain, unless lightning is present.

The recommended age limit is 6 years and up.

The beach walk could be up to 3 miles in length. The program ends at midnight.

Sebastian Inlet is one of Florida's most popular state parks. It offers fishing and camping. You might want to plan on spending the night,
