Events at Biscayne National Park Ranger-led activities. Sooty tern gathering in the Dry Tortugas. Up to 100,000 birds nest here between March and September. The National Audubon Society conducts guided trips in April and the first part of May. Nesting brown pelicans on mangrove islands along both coasts but especially Pelican Island NWR.
