Florida has thousands of hotels and inns to choose from and we're limiting our suggestions to properties that have earned a green lodging rating from the state of Florida. What does it take for a property to become part of the green lodging program? To find out, click here. The following listings contain inns and hotels both large and small close to prime wildlife viewing areas. To see all the properties in Florida's green lodging program, click here. This list isn't perfect but it should help narrow down where to stay. Unfortunately, not enough properties have signed on to the program to make an overnight stay as convenient as it ought to be.
